Kindergarten Saturday Art Class:
Description of each plan: The students used clay slabs to cut out a shape of their choice and making a pattern on top of it to make personal magnets.
Rationale for each plan: During this unit the students will create personal magnets using shapes, pattern, and colors we learn in the classroom. Our goal is to teach the students how to combine all three areas on a smaller scale. Hopefully, they can apply this system to other parts of their process.

3rd Grade Saturday Art Class:
Description: 3rd grade is going to create a painting using pointillism techniques to paint a landscape on 8"x11" watercolor paper.
Rationale: For this lesson our central focus was having the 3rd graders understand the different parts of a landscape. To do this we provided a summative assessment worksheet where they would label the different parts of the landscape. Before they were able to move on to their final painting the students had to check in with a teacher to approve they included the different parts of landscapes.

This includes a virtual environment and any learning aids used within a Google Drive. 7D: understands how to organize the instructional environment to maximize students’ learning.
